This policy explains what information SunSideUp Solar collects when you use sunsideup.solar (including lp.sunsideup.solar) or ask us about solar for your home, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us. Your name, phone number and email address; your city and home address if you provide them; your approximate monthly electric bill; a copy of your electric bill if you upload one, which shows details such as your name, service address, account number and energy use; and the time you prefer for a call.

Information collected automatically. Your IP address and browser type; the page you arrived on and the site that referred you; advertising tags in the link you followed, such as UTM parameters or click IDs from Google, Meta or Microsoft; and a record of the consent you gave, including the wording you saw, when you agreed, and the phone number and email it covers.

Browser storage and cookies. Our forms use your browser's session storage to remember your progress and how you arrived, until you close the tab. Our staff login uses a cookie. We may use advertising and analytics tools from companies such as Google and Meta to measure our ads; those tools can set their own cookies and collect information about your visit, such as the pages you view and whether you sent a form. If you use address suggestions in our homepage form, what you type is sent to Google to find matching addresses.

How we use your information

• To respond to your request, review your bill and prepare your savings estimate.
• To call or email you about your request, and to text you to confirm appointments.
• To design, permit and install your system if you decide to go ahead.
• To keep records of your request and of the consent you gave.
• To understand which ads and pages bring people to us, and to improve our website.
• To protect our website and to meet our legal obligations.

Calls and texts

We call you about the request you sent us, and we text only to confirm appointments. Agreeing to calls and texts is not a condition of buying anything. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts, or tell us during a call that you don't want to be called again. Message and data rates may apply.

How we share information

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with other companies for their own marketing. Your request stays with SunSideUp Solar and our in-house installation team. We share information only:

• With service providers that run our website, database and file storage for us. They may use it only to provide those services.
• With your utility, permitting offices, incentive programs and the financing company you choose, when you ask us to apply for permits, interconnection, programs or financing on your behalf.
• When the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as we need it to respond to your request, provide our services, and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

How we protect it

Uploaded bills are kept in private storage that only our team can open, and our lead records require a staff login. No way of storing or sending information is perfectly secure, but we work to protect yours.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and stop calls or texts at any time. California residents may have additional rights under California law, including the right to know, correct and delete personal information. We won't treat you differently for making a request. To make a request or ask about this policy, tell us when we call or text you.

Do Not Track

Our website doesn't respond to browser Do Not Track signals.

Children

Our services are for homeowners. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
